Today in Year 7 we did the summer learning journey. I did groove pizza which is where you make a beat and you can also change the genre.

Today we learnt about online scams, pop ups and cat fishing. We were told about how to tell if something is a scam and what to do if it is a scam. Then we had to make a google drawing about what we learnt and this is how mine turned out. Have you ever seen an online scam?

Today in Year Seven we learnt about collaborative Docs. Collaborative Docs is where you buddy up and share a Doc then work together on it. The tasks we got given were to play tic tac toe and make a small story with one person writing one word then the other writes another word and so on. It is important to be respectful on collaborative docs because if you don’t you will not get your work done. Have you done collaborative writing?

For digital fluency learning this week, we learnt about google earth and how it works. I learnt how to make a project and tag stuff also how to do some of the games and stuff based on the world. I did fancy car dealerships and you can walk through the buildings and look at fancy cars. What is your dream car?

Today we learnt about copy write and the rights to what is okay and not like if you get their permission then we started to learn about Notan art and what it is. Nolan art is a Japanese style of art and its only black and white, the black means dark and the white means light. We made our own version on google drawings. Have you ever heard of Notan art?

In Kauri pod today, we learnt about what is media. We made some statistics about what media we are mostly on. We had an option to show it on word art or google drawings and I chose word art. As you can see the media that I mostly spend my time on are YouTube and Fortnite. I enjoyed making it, this was pretty easy to do. This is my final product.
In Kauri Pod we have been learning about private and personal information tat is shared online this is very important because we need to know what is private and what is personal so that you don’t share the wrong things to the wrong people. It was fun because we got to play mindful mountain to find some good messages. The hard thing was that we had to take the screenshot really fast. Do you know what information should be shared online?
On Ag Day a few weeks ago in Kea Class, we did Ag Day. One of the topics was art and our art was called How Maui Slowed The Sun Art and we had instructions on Google Classroom. We were learning how to follow instructions and we were practicing our art. The criteria was pretty easy to follow and the instructions were easy to read. The judges judged it by who followed the instructions the best, personally I think mine looked really good and I thought that I also followed the instructions really well. I found the watercolor painting challenging as it was hard to stop the coulor from going onto the wrong places. Next time I think I will be or careful and make sure I coulor the right spot, the right colours. Overall, I liked it I thought is was fun and I would be fine to do it again.
